Plato and his Story

Today in class, we started out the period talking about our Egypt quizzes and then we read a story of plato and his cave. Not many people did good on the quiz so Mr. Schick is gonna let some people re-take it. Since the quiz didn't have many questions, if you got even one wrong you would have a low A so with me getting 5 wrong it meant that I would get a low grade. Next, we learned about Platos cave. The story was a bit confusing as it had a lot of different parts and just a confusing storyline. The story had a bigger meaning than what was being told throughout the story. We had to infer what was happening in the story and find the truer meaning of the text. The truer meaning of the text was more about how if you do something different than the rest of the people than you'll get ridiculed even if it may be the better choice of what to do. The story was about people in a cave that were shackled against a wall and then a thing was projected against the wall that taught them about their life. Once they were freed, they didn't know how to act because the light was too bright and they needed to adjust how they viewed life.
