Pyramids and Temples

Today in class, we took more notes on Egypt and its life. We talked about the temples and the pyramids that were made out of stone and covered in marble, but then later stripped off during the muslim conquest. We also talked about how the temple of Amon at Karnak is the largest religious building in the world, also made out of huge blocks of stone. Stone sculptures were inside to depict the humans and the gods which was very effective. We also talked about how they believe in an afterlife which we though was weird what they did when they died. taking out the organs was not something we would do today.
