Guns germs and steel day 2

Today in class, we had a two hour delay due to snow. We probably should have been off today because there were many times that people had complained about the conditions. I even know someone who was in a car accident this morning because of the conditions. Once we got to class we talked a few minutes about Mr. Schicks break and how his daughter got engaged to her boyfriend. Then, we started watching the guns, germs, and steel video which we took more notes on. Today we got through most of the video and we got a lot more notes than the other day. Today, the video focused on the food. They ate a type of food that came out of a tree. The natives made it into a type of dough which they could then eat. It made about 70 pounds of food but it didn't have many nutrients for the people. A better decision for food would be wheat. It has an overall better amount of nutrients and would be a better intake for the people. The natives make the dough though because that is a good amount of food that they can use that is right in front of them.
