Guns germs and steel

Today in class, we talked about guns, germs, and steel. This is about people on an island call New Guinea. They are natives to this land and they don't know much about the land in the americas and mostly the rest of the world. Then europeans showed up to the land. The natives didn't know much about the technology that the europeans had discovered so they weren't as industrialized yet they found different ways to live just as well and flourished with a healthy life. We did a small portion of research and then we started watching a video on the topic. The video showed the life of the natives and mentioned a man. He was a biologist and he was very interested in birds. He was the author of the book Guns, germs, and steel. The men became accustomed to the biologist and he found out many things about the natives that are very interesting. Next class we will finish watching the video and taking notes.
